Katie Rinkus’s practice focuses on general business and corporate law, contract negotiation, and corporate transactional work. As an associate at Gensburg Calandriello & Kanter, P.C., Katie assists a variety of businesses for their legal needs, including business formation, preparation and review of corporate documents and contracts, real estate transactions, zoning and license issues, business-side employment issues, and general counsel work.

Prior to joining Gensburg Calandriello & Kanter, P.C., Katie worked at a domestic relations litigation firm, where she represented many business owners through the divorce process. She then joined a small business law firm, where she honed her business law skills. In this position, she led the firm’s cannabis and CBD expansion, where she guided numerous businesses through the licensing and application process in Illinois.

Katie lives in Edgewater, and in her spare time can be found exploring the city via bike. She also enjoys sushi, Detroit-style pizza, football season, and the Mitten State (Go Blue!)
